The objectives for communication with community and external users are the following:
a. to contribute to design of the infrastructure
b. to use the infrastructure
c. to provide access to facilities
d. to carry out high impact research
Our objectives are in line with ISBE in its preparatory phase which are the following:
- identification of existing activities and consultation with stakeholders regarding the technical requirements of the infrastructure. This will be addressed via ISBE’s website, surveys, conference and workshop participation
- a proposal outlining the recommendations for the technical specifications of the physical infrastructure, required technologies and access policies – this objective will be addressed via expert consultations
- development and negotiation of a business plan and sustainable funding model for the construction and operational phase of ISBE – this will be developed with relevant stakeholders, governments and ministries
